Since 2009, we have been helping facility managers measure, manage and save energy — one installation at a time.
SunVolt was founded in 2009 by a team of power systems engineers who believed that energy waste is not an inevitable cost of doing business — it is a data problem waiting to be solved.
Starting from a small R&D lab in Milan, we developed our first three-phase smart energy meter in 2011. By 2015, our metering portfolio had expanded to include submetering systems, power factor correction units and our first cloud-based EMS platform. Today, SunVolt equipment monitors over 2.4 TWh of energy annually across 18,000+ installations in 48 countries.
Our mission remains unchanged: deliver the most accurate, interoperable and scalable energy monitoring hardware and software in the market — backed by engineering support that treats every project as our own.
Every SunVolt product is designed, tested and manufactured under rigorous quality management systems.
Quality Management System certified by TUV Rheinland. Covers design, manufacturing and after-sales service of energy metering and power management equipment.
Environmental Management System certified. Our Milan factory operates under strict environmental protocols including waste reduction and energy efficiency targets.
Energy meters tested to IEC 62053-21/22 accuracy standards. MID (Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU) certified for legal-for-trade billing in Europe.
All products comply with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU and EMC Directive 2014/30/EU for deployment across the European Economic Area.
Select meter and gateway models UL Listed for the North American market per UL 61010-1 standard for safety of electrical equipment for measurement.
All SunVolt products comply with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU, restricting hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.
